Earl Thomas (T) Cotten, 67, passed away from this life on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Waverly Health & Rehabilitation Center, Waverly, VA. Earl was a native of Southampton County. He was born on December 29, 1951 to the late Mary M. Barrow Cotten and Wylie W. Cotten.Earl attended Westside High School in Smithfield, VA. He was always known for his friendliness and as a sociable neighbor.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Virginia Smith-Cotten, children Earl Mandoza, Bryant M. Cotten, Earlisha Cotten, and stepson Gregory Smith, three sisters Annie M. Shivers, Emma Addison, and Virginia Williams, two brothers Nathan Cotten and Joseph Cotten, eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1pm Thursday October 24, 2019 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place Wednesday October 23, 2019 from 4-7pm also at the Chapel. Professional Services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.Burial Date October 24, 2019
