Delma A. Williams Robinson, transitioned with peace and grace on the morning of Monday, February 4, 2019 as she answered the Master's call. Delma was born to the union of the late Wiley Williams, Sr. and Lucille S. Williams on December 14, 1940 in Isle of Wight County in which she received her education. On August 8, 1959 she married the love of her life, Larry A. Robinson. They were blessed to have four children in which they reared in Carrollton, Virginia. Although they were blessed with their four children, she was a mother to many others. Delma was an advocate for education often encouraging others to finish school. She even continued her studies later in life. After being reared in a Christian home with strong religious beliefs, she understood the importance of accepting Jesus Christ and developing a relationship with Him as her Lord and Savior. She united with the Christian Home Baptist Church, Windsor VA under the pastoral ship of the Rev. S. L. Scott. She remained faithful to God and the church by serving in various ministries. Delma was Minister of the Golden Age Ministry, coordinator of Relay for Life, active in the nursing ministry, and a dedicated member of the CHBC Music Ministry and the Tidewater Workshop Choir. She lifted our spirits each time she sang "I Can Depend on God." Predeceased her in death are her parents and siblings Leonard Williams, Thelma Bagner and Wiley Williams, Jr. She leaves her precious memories and legacy with her family, husband of 59 years, Larry Robinson; her faithful and devoted children, Larry Robinson (Kathy) of North Chesterfield, VA, Kevin Robinson (Artistine) of Suffolk, VA, Lynette Batten (Tony) of Smithfield, VA, and Andrea Walton of Suffolk, VA; her loving grandchildren Devin Dash, Brandon Hall (Monica), Kevin Brian Robinson, Katina Robinson, Chantel Morris and Mico Seward; three great granddaughters; two sisters in-laws Martha Williams and Dolly Williams; one brother in-law Dennis Batten (Anna); four godchildren Willie Mae Crocker, Dr. Morry Brown, Tarmeka Pierce and Harry Taliferro, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and her support team Cathy Brown, Diane Warren, Delores Cuffey, Shelia Pope, Edna Robinson, and Edna Cheatom.
