Curley R. Hargrove

On Wednesday, May 20, 2020 Curley R. Hargrove transitioned this life to eternal rest. Mr. Hargrove was born January 11, 1942 to Ida Hargrove Mann and Clifton Hall of Nansemond County Va, (Suffolk Va) Curley Hargrove enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved to travel and play slot machines. He loved to entertain and listen to old school music. He retired as master brick mason, which he thoroughly enjoyed and passed that legacy to his two oldest sons. Curley Hargrove leaves to cherish his beloved wife of 56 years, Lois Jean Hargrove; his mother, Ida Hargrove Mann; his three sons Kenneth Hargrove (Vivian) Craig Hargrove Sr. (Tonya) Troy Drew-Hargrove (Ta'Markus); four grandchildren, Kenya Hargrove, Craig Hargrove Jr., Tramont Hargrove, and Brooklyn Drew-Hargrove; his sisters Vertley Hopson, Mary Hodges (Floyd); his brother John Mann and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Clifton Hall; his brothers Vernon R. Mann, Willie Mann; and his grandmother Fanella Hargrove. A Graveside Service will be held 11 am Monday May 25, 2020 at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. Viewing will take place 2-4 pm Sunday May 24, 2020 at Shivers Funeral Chapel.
