As a brilliant gardener and her love of flowers and nature, she filled bellies and kept plants that are to be admired. She was a mini farmer and kept chickens that are still there today. She excelled at knitting and crochet. Clarice provided her gift and arts and crafts to friends and family for many years, to include her jewelry making. Clarice enjoyed teaching her granddaughter's crochet. She provided childcare and nurturing to many children for many years as a help to those in need. Her labor of love has blessed many. Being incredibly fashionable, Clarice enjoyed shopping. She enjoyed a good word find puzzle and watching her show, The Young and The Restless. Her signature dish of sweet potato pudding will be missed. She enjoyed traveling and family time. She looked forward to a good beach trip, she loved the outdoors. While on this last trip she was blessed to visit with her sister, Martha Whitaker, who is 104 years old in Baltimore, Maryland. Clarice joined Christian Home Baptist Church at an early age. She attended Brown’s A.M.E. Church, which merged with Ebeneezer AME church upon marrying Walter.
