On August 15, 2014, Charles M. Williams, 67, went home to be with the Lord.He was born May 18, 1947 to the late Jack Williams and Lydia S. Williams.He attended the Public Schools in the county, Charles was also a former member of Brown's A.M.E. Church. He was preceded in death by his son Wait' Williams, his father Jack Williams, one sister Dorothy Williams, three brothers Jack William Jr., Walter Williams, and Donald Williams. Charles is survived by his son Gene Goodwin of Smithfield; his mother Lydia S. Williams of Carrollton; two sisters Vivian R. and Lydia D. Williams of Carrollton; two brother Will and Roy Williams of Smithfieldand a host of other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held noon Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 at Shivers FuneralChapel. Viewing Wednesday Aug. 20, 2014 from 4-7pm at the chapel.Following the service interment will be held in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Arrangements by Shivers Funeral Chapel.
