Bruce W. Williams Sr.

August 2, 1951 — May 23, 2014

On Friday May 23rd,2014 Bruce W.Williams Sr. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend entered into eternal rest. Bruce was the youngest of nine born to the late Robert and Clara Williams on August 2nd 1951. After 39 years of service he retired from Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding. He leaves to cherish memorable moments his wife of 42 years Virgie L.Williams of Newport News, two children Sherri Winnegan(Rex) and Bruce Williams Jr. (Serrico) four grandchildren Quinterra and Quinten Winnegan, Kayla Williams and Terrance Pace. Three sisters Ruth Williams, Bessie Hamlin(Edward Sr,Phylis Clarke (Ervin Sr.) Three brothers Robert Williams(Janet) ,Bricy Devereaux(Jennifer),and James Williams Sr.. Three sister in laws Geraldine Liggins (Carey Sr.) Girlie Jones and Judy Davis (Wesley) Two aunts Carrie Bailey and Charlotte Clemons. Numerous of nieces and nephews whom he loved as his very own. Viewing will be held on Wednesday May 28th, 2014 at the chapel. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held Thursday May 29th, 2014 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Smithfield. Burial will be in Ebenezer cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel

Viewing will be held on Wednesday May 28th, 2014 at the chapel. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held Thursday May 29th, 2014 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Smithfield. Burial will be in Ebenezer cemetery.
