Memoir

Balize Quintell Parker affectionately known as 2x entered eternal rest on  Saturday February 12, 2022 at Chesapeake Regional Hospital, Chesapeake, Va  he was born December 4, 1993 in Newport News to Dianne Blount and Brad Parker. He graduated from Lakeland High School in 2012. Blaize loved to take pictures and started his very own photography business called LaFlare Shots. He shared this passion of  photography with his dear friend Kyra Young. The pair became  very popular and  were in high demand because of the skills. He then partnered with Serrico (Tweety) Batten and shared her passion with the 360 business called “LaFlare Shots Blaize and Tweety 360” Blaize also had a passion for dirt bikes. His most recent toy was the KX-250 which gave him a run for his money at times. However, he loved that bike and still owns it to this day. Anyone that knew Blaize knew he could dress like no other. His desire for fashion and style would allow him to have a swag like no other. When it came to sneakers, yes he was a real sneaker head and always had the latest trend that came out.

Blaize was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Smithfield, VA. He loved to dance and was a part of the Mine Team. He also became a part of the audio team and would assist them from time to time. Blaize’s hobbies included taking pictures, fishing, riding dirt bikes, shopping and playing his own line gaming system with friends.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories his parents Dianne (Charles) Blount and Brad (Karen) Parker; Brothers Xavier Burton,Fayetteville, Arkansas; Bray Parker and Andrew Thomas, Smithfield, VA; Cody Momon, Savannah, GA and a special brother Cedric Johnson, Suffolk, VA; three nieces, Ashia Hankins Burton of Texarkana , Arkansas, Nyla Jai Thomas, Smithfield, VA and KaNiyah Jones, Suffolk, VA; five nephews- Ahmauri, Ayden, Nolan and Mason Parker, Suffolk, VA and Amare Burton, Fayetteville, Arkansas ; grandmothers-Veronica Boone, Smithfield, VA and Dorella Moore of Dale ity, VA-grandfathers-Clifton Boone  and Wesley Watson, Suffolk, VA; three aunts, Joanne (Keith) Major, South Carolina, Jomaine (Warren) Thomas, Dale City, VA and Sherrie(Christopher) McDowell, Smithfield, VA; seven uncles-Roberto,  Norman (Kenny) and Kevin Parker, Darryl (Lisa) Taliaferro, Smithfield, VA; Carlos (Ann) Taliaferro, Joseph (Aishah) Blount, Dale city, VA and Essray Taliaferro Taliaferro, Jr., Upper Malboro, Maryland.

Blaize was preceded in death by his brother De’Andre Thomas, his grandmother Geraldine “Lu Lu” Parker, his grandfathers Norman Newby and Essray Taliaferro, Sr Smithfield, VA and Joseph Lee Blount, Sr., Dale City, VA

He had the cutest God daughter, Madisyn Gray and the most handsome God-son Jaiden Fenner, Smithfield, VA , a very special friend who was the love of his life-Alexis Anderson and a host of cousins and close friends. We will all miss our “Blaize”

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11AM on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Main Street Baptist Church Smithfield, Virginia.  Viewing will take place on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 4-6PM at Shivers Funeral Chapel.  Please keep the Parker Family in your prayers.
