Avis G. Hall

 Avis G. Hall, 55, a native of Ivor, VA died Tuesday August 12, 2014 in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. She was born July 28, 1959.She was a member of the Mount Sion Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY pastored by where Reverends Dan and Edna Craig Avis was educated in the New York school system and was employed by Fairway Supermarket in Brooklyn.   She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Catherine Johnson, maternal uncles, Bernard Hall and Rev. Eric Johnson, Sr. and her father Elias Edwards. Jr. Those left to cherish her memories are her parents, Thomas and Shirley M. Robertson of Smithfield, adopted mother, Edna Cheatom of Ivor, her daughter, Ashley Campbell, two sons, Joseph and Warren Hall of Brooklyn, five sisters, Veronica (Rev. Jesse) Spencer of Pittsburg, Cathy Dixon of Washington, Anita Hall of Brooklyn, Pastor Paulette (Charles) Eley of Courtland, Arvada (Keith) Gary of Brooklyn, three brothers, Michael Mitchell of Harrisonburg, Leon Edwards and Thaddeus (Mary) Edwards of Courtland; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew a host of cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

 Viewing at Shivers Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 18from 4:00PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral Service 12:00 PM on Tuesday at Main Street Baptist Church. Smithfield. Interment Davis Cemetery, Ivor. Arrangements by Shivers Funeral Chapel.
