Arnetta Bradshaw Batten

May 26, 1939 — May 29, 2022

Arnetta J. Bradshaw Batten our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend slipped into eternal rest on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia. She joined her loving husband Charlie Nelson Batten who preceded her in death, her mother Bessie, brother James Russell Jr. and a host of other family members and friends. She was a life-long member at New Bethany Christian UCC, where she sang in the choir for many years and was the President of the Pastor's Aide Committee. She was a die-hard Cowboys fan and always made sure she was tuned in when they were playing. She also enjoyed gathering with family, cooking, and "working" her puzzles. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She told them all that she always wanted a house full of "little feet" and that's exactly what she had! She was the fun grandma, who would do anything you wanted to do including traveling, hosting tea parties or even going to a Ginuwine concert, and you could always count on her if you were sick from school.

She leaves behind to cherish precious memories her sons, Frankie (Diane), Charlie (Penny) and her daughters, Carmen(Jeffrey), and Robin; her grandchildren, Tonya, Gecovia, Byron, Demille, Charlie Jr., Ryan, Adrianna, Keryell, Kerry Jr., Jessica, Jeffrey II, and Brandon; her brother Lawrence, her aunt Peggy; sister in law Cathy; special niece Marlo and lots of little feet, Javio, Lyric, Anthony III, Maurice, Nylah, Jaylen, Lalani, Sellauryn, Kairo, Alexandra, Nicholas, Ke'mohnee, Ke'aryie, Keri, Tahj, and Zendaya.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, June 04, 2022 at New Bethany Christian United Church of Christ. Viewing will take place from 3-6pm on Friday, June 03, 2022 at the Chapel. Please keep the Bradshaw - Batten family in your prayers. View Memorial Images
