Annette D. Hamlin

October 13, 1962 — August 5, 2015

Smithfield On Wednesday, August 5, 2015, God dispersed His angels to Sentara Obici Hospital to receive His daughter Annette Denise Hamlin to enter into her eternal rest. Annette was born October 13, 1962 to Edward & Bessie Williams Hamlin Sr. She graduated from Smithfield High School. She was employed several years at Smithfield Ham Company. To relax her mind you would often find Annette playing Bingo. Annette was a faithful disciples of Mt. Calvary Church until her health became the spirit of infirmity and she could no longer continue to come as often as she desired. Her love and trust for the Lord remain firm. As she often quoted her favorite scripture passage Psalm 27. She was preceded in death by a very special friend Willie Green. Her sweet spirit, loving and precious memories will always remain in the hearts of her parents Edward and Bessie Hamlin; three children Travis Hamlin, Tiffany Hamlin and Leona Batten; nine grandchildren Demontre Hamlin, De'Moni Hamlin, Teyana Hamlin, Ty'Aziha Hamlin, Da'Miyah Hamlin, Da'Zyah Hamlin, Mikaleon Wooten, Malaysia Batten, Michael Wooten Jr.; five sisters Donna Thomas(Sterling) of Hampton, Va., Donnatte Brown(George) of Smithfield, Va., Tracy Murphy(Rodney) of Smithfield, Va., Keisha Hamlin(Jason) of Hampton, Va., Jackie Juckins(Eric) of Surry, Va.; one brother Edward Hamlin Jr. of Smithfield, Va.; special nieces Latrice Hamlin, Trakelia Hamlin, Tranisha Hamlin, Shachyse Brown, Kaydence Hamlin; special nephews George Brown III, James BrownIV, Victor Goodman Jr., Raekwon Brown and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1pm Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will be held from 4-7 on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Chapel.
