On Friday, October 31, 2014, our beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Alvin C. Etheridge, ACE, entered into eternal rest at Hampton VA Medical Center surrounded by family. Alvin was a graduate of Windsor High School, Class of 1978. After high school, he was employed with Newport News Shipbuilding as an electrician. Alvin later joined the United States Army and was honorably discharges in April 1983. Then gain employment with the United States Postal Service until his retirement. Alvin had a great appreciation for the arts, being an outstanding artist and loving all genres of music. His all-time favorite artists were the elements, Earth, Wind, and Fire. Alvin was born on May 29, 1960 to the late James Etheridge Sr. and Lillian Keller Etheridge. He is preceded in death by his sister, Lynette B. Etheridge. His loved ones left to cherish his memories include: two daughters, Tawana L. Robinson and Adrienne L. Etheridge; one son-in-law, Jeffrey Robinson; one adopted son, Kendrick Freeman; five grandchildren, Tory Robertson Jr., Tanaya Robertson, Lauryn Robinson, Leia Robinson, and Jestin Robinson; five big brothers, Larry Keller, Ronald Keller, James Etheridge Jr., Anthony Etheridge, and Bert Etheridge; two aunts Pricilla Keller and his special aunt Mildred Robertson; two uncles, Henry (Ella) Keller and Alexander Keller; two best friends, Ivan Ricks and Joe Justice; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Wednesday Nov. 5, 2014 at the funeral chapel. Interment in Albert G. Horton Veteran Cemetery. Viewing Tuesday from 4-7Pm at the chapel. Burial Date November 5, 2014
