Alvin R. Brown

On August 24, 2020 Alvin" Baby Boy" Brown transitioned home to be with his heavenly Father. Alvin, the son of the late Eunice Brown and James Brown, Jr. was born August 7, 1963 in Smithfield, VA. He was educated in Isle of Wight County Public Schools. He had a love for sports. His favorite team was the Tennessee Titans. He enjoyed spending time with his sons. Alvin was a member of Sandy Mount Baptist church and a faithful usher until his failing health. His last employment was at Pet Premium Plant LLC. He leaves to cherish his memory; father James Brown, Jr.; two sons; Alvin D. Bailey and Jamaal R. Bailey, seven sisters, Patricia (Alvin) Massenburg, Brenda Massenburg, Eunice (Ronald) Chisley, Darlene Outlaw, Gwendolyn (Rex) Saunders, Shelia (Meredith) Picott, and Alicia Delk, three brothers; Anthony (Bernice) Brown, James Brown, III and Darryl (Tracey) Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives ,friends and special friend Sherry Bailey. We will truly miss his smile, laughter, and humble spirit. A Graveside Celebration will be held 11am Saturday August 29, 2020 at Tynes Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will take place Friday August 28, 2020 at Shivers Funeral Chapel from 4-6pm. Mr. Brown is in the loving and professional care of Shivers Funeral Chapel.
