Alma L. Wellons-Jones

"The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want..." Psalm 23 On Saturday May 8, 2021 God called home our beloved sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend Alma Lovenia Jones. Alma Lovenia Jones was born February 25, 1961 to the late William Wellons and Lillie Wellons. She received her education at Isle of Wight County Schools. She was preceded in death by her dad William Wellons, her mom, Lillie Wellons and her brother William Wellons, Jr. She is survived by two sisters; Angela Hayes (George) of Franklin, VA and Javonda Wellons (Leroy) of Suffolk, VA, two brothers; Travis Wellons (Sandra) of Franklin, VA and Quincy Wellons of Newport News, VA; five nieces, seven nephews and a host of cousins and friends. We loved Alma but, God loved her more! A Drive-up Celebration of Life Service will be held 12pm Friday, May 14, 2021 at Christian Home Baptist Church 20123 Longview Drive Windsor, Va. Viewing will take place on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 4-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Jones is in the loving and professional care of Shivers Funeral Chapel.
