Allen R. Denson

Allen departed this life at his residence in Jersey Park, Smithfield, VA on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. 

He was born Allen Raphael Denson on September 3, 1965 to the late Willie D. Denson, Sr. and the late Mary P. Denson. Allen became affectionately known to family and friends as “Skip”. Skip was employed at Gwaltney Meat Packing Company and then at the Newport News Shipyard. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters; Barbara A. Robinson of Carrollton, VA and Loretta Denson of Smithfield, VA. One brother; Willie D. Denson, Jr. of Atlanta, GA. He also leaves eight nieces and five nephews.

 He will be remembered by two very special friends, Paul Newby, II and Sophia Simms and a Host of cousins. 

A Memorial Service will be held 11am Friday, August 16, 2024, at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the Denson family in your thoughts and prayers.
