PAMELA-KERRI NICHOLE HILL
Pamela-Kerri Nichole Hill was born on July 10, 1981 to Sheila L. Hill and Paul Mack. She graduated from Smithfield High School in 1999, where she was a cheerleader and ran track. Pamela then went to Virginia Union University in Richmond (her mother’s alma mater). There she ran for Miss Va. Union University Homecoming Queen. Pamela majored in Mass Communications. She received her Bachelor ‘s Degree in 2004. Pamela worked for TRG (a subsidiary of Verizon) where she was a supervisor with oversight of up to 20 persons at times. When her mother ‘s health began to fail, Pamela came home to help take care of her.
Pamela joined the Daughters of Salem United Order of Tents 61 along with her mother. Pamela also enjoyed going to plays and shows with her sister. The friends she met while in college would have an annual cookout where they asked all guests to bring canned foods, and Pamela made it her business to go every year. She was an avid fan who stuck by the Redskins (ride or die). Pamela made plans this year and enjoyed her 20th Year Class Reunion.
Pamela leaves her church family where everyone had a special place in her heart and they knew it because she would put the “Aunt” and “Uncle ” handle in front of their names. She served in every capacity of the church that she could, and enjoyed it; every first Sundays she would serve as an honorary Usher on the door while the Ushers took their communion. Pamela served as a Steward (secretary), a Stewardess (Vice-President), Women ‘s Missionary Society (Secretary/Treasurer), Lay Organization, Finance Committee, Hospitality Committee, elected Alternate Delegate for the Annual Conference and appointed as this year ‘s Women ‘s Day Chairperson. She served her church well in all capacities. Pamela had no children, but she had a nephew (Amir), and a cousin (George) that she loved and cared for as if they were her own. She will be missed by both of them. They will miss her smiles and hugs that she would always give them.
Pamela was preceded in death by her mother, Sheila L. Hill. She is survived by her father, Paul Mack, sister, Sara-Joy Hill, her nephew, Amir Hill, grandmothers Lula Mae Mack and Drusilla Hicks, aunts: Margaret Roberts, Tracy (Darryl) Brown, Sandra Whitaker, Laura Warren, and Peggy Jones; Uncles: James Hill, Norman Mack, John Mack, and David Mack; two god-brothers: Taurus Riddick and Carlton Holmes, and a dedicated god-mother Gwendolyn Langhorne, and a host of cousins and close family friends the she held so dear.
