Odelle Addison 72, transitioned from this life Saturday March 21, 2020 at James River Convalescent and Rehab in Newport News, VA. She was born to the late Richard and Martha Hill Addison in the Great Springs Road section in Smithfield, VA. She attended Isle of Wight Training School where she played basketball. She retired as a Supervisor from Smithfield Packing. She served as a Union Representative for several years. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Smithfield where she served on the Usher board until health challenges prevented her. Odelle was very fashionable. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was a big sports fanatic and rooted for her favorite Washington Red Skins Team. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Willie T. Addison and Andrew Addison; sisters Thelma Thomas, Louise Hall and Ernestine Addison. Left to treasure her memory are her sons Lamonte "Rico" and Vernon A. Addison (Beverly), her brothers James Archie Addison (Demetria) Sherman L. Addison (Permelia), Leroy (LeCera) and Earl, his sisters Martha Warren and Edna Addison. She will be missed by her Grandson Trey Addison; her Granddaughters, Tameka Robinson, Shannon and Tiffany Addison; her Great- grandchildren Trey Addison, Jr., Norie Addison, Addison Robinson and her God daughter, Ramona Palmer. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors and classmates will cherish the times spent with Odelle.
