Eleana McNair

Eleana McNair Eleana McNair, 87, was born in Portsmouth, VA on December 9, 1931 to the late Opie Howard. On September 7, 2019 she was called from labor to reward. Eleana attended Our Lady of Victory Catholic School in Portsmouth, VA as well as I. C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth, VA. She married Noah McNair Jr. in 1950 and from this union four children were born. She was a devoted homemaker for over 50 years. She loved to attend church, go out to dinner with her family, attend the movies, watch her westerns, and she also had a love for music. She has joined in eternity her mother Opie Howard, her late husband Noah McNair Jr., her brother Ernest Vaughan, daughter Ernestine Vaughan, and grandson Clayton Bernard Boyce Jr. She was a part of a loving family who loved and cared for her dearly. She leaves to cherish her memory son Anthony Vaughan (Rose) of Rockland, Maine, Veda Boyce (Clayton) of Suffolk, VA, Leon McNair (Wanda) 9f Hampton, VA; sister Doretha Turner of Brooklyn, NY; four granddaughters, three grandsons, four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two nieces, and other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Friday September 13, 2019 at Little Bethel Baptist Church Suffolk, Va. Viewing will take place Thursday September 12, 2019 from 4-7pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Professional Services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
